Webi Framework delivered the talk "El Nuevo paradigma para construir software" ("The New Paradigm for Building Software") as a virtual conference with the Instituto Tecnológico Superior de Huichapan (ITESHU) in Hidalgo, Mexico, for students of Computer Systems Engineering. The session was part of CONAMTI 2026, the national congress on Mechatronics, Information Technologies, Renewable Energy and Agricultural Innovation.
What stood out was how much the students' understanding of the market differed from what is actually happening in the industry. Their reference point was largely the marketing narrative around AI, not the reality of how companies are adopting it. The term AI-First, widely used across the industry, was not something they were aware of as a defined concept.
That gap made them think seriously about the future of their careers. Students in early semesters raised honest questions: is the developer role still necessary, do they still need to learn to program, should they rely on open-source tools and local models or on commercial models in the cloud. The questions themselves revealed how strongly the conversation is anchored to tools.
This is exactly the gap Webi Framework works on. The focus is the human factor: giving people the knowledge and skills to be efficient and successful with any tool, rather than tying their competence to a specific one. Engineering is not a subject attached to a tool that can go out of fashion. It is a more transcendent body of knowledge, one that should be transferable across whatever tooling comes next.
The Tecnológico Nacional de México, through ITESHU, granted Manuel Antonio Lara Pupo a recognition for the talk. Webi Framework thanks ITESHU for the invitation and for the space, and looks forward to collaborating further, taking part in more sessions through 2027, and training its students and its community.
